I wasn't a fan of his mix tape. Is this better?

If you didn't like the mixtape, you probably won't like this much. It's just an expansion of the sound, with more diversity but keeping to the same general ideas.

His voice is just so easy to enjoy, at least for me.

Fertilizer should've been expanded. Sierra Leone starts off really badly but gets good at the end. I don't really like Sweet Life at all. Expected more from that track simply for the Neptunes production. Once Super Rich Kids hits though, its a streak of awesome trackss to follow

I don't really get the hype. Some tracks are good, but this is really inconsistent/uneven. Forest Gump for example is bland as hell.

Thinkin Bout You, Pilot Jones, Crack Rock and Pyramids are all perfect songs.

Jeez not really getting the hype behind this. Frank's voice and delivery are totally uninspired and kind of vanilla to me. The production is good, not great. Parts of this really drag on and bore me to death honestly. Don't get me wrong though the good parts (the 2nd part of pyramids comes to mind) are really good, but I feel like I have to navigate through loads of shit in order to get to them (sort of like how you have to wade through loads of shitty contemporary R&B before you find the 'good stuff'.) After 2 listens I have to give this a 2.5/3, and that's being generous. Someone point me to the way of appreciating this album more? What am I "not getting"?

You're just racist probably.
