you could make some nice socal bm about the nihilism of liberal coastal politics for sure. deafheaven baby-stepped toward making that point on sunbather but only got so far as jealousy for the middle class. you could go a lot further with that lyrically, as well as with the urban aesthetic a la Lantlos for some pretty nice bm.

that urban aesthetic of lantlos is real and fucking interesting and i agree there's a place for cold cityscapes in black metal
