its blindingly obvious that the only reason u say u dont like this album is cos ur trying to be kwl by not liking what everyone else likes. ur review was ok written but you cnt argue with the 26 million people worldwide that bought this album

Overhyped =! bad

Not one of the best grunge albums, but Nevermind is in no way a 2. 4 or 4.5 is what I would give, and even if I completely agree with your review, it would still be a 3 or 3.5.

This is definitley one of my favourite albums. I don't care if it's "mainstream" "Grunge" or "pop rock", it's a really fun album in my opinion and no bad songs always = good.

I find it hilarious how so many people think this album is overrated and crappy. Far from so. Ever heard of "Pet Sounds"?

"Never Mind the Bullocks"? Or how about "Sgt. Pepper"? It's not a bad album by any means, but everyone seems to

worship it for no good reason. Yeah, we get it, the Beatles changed music and experimented.

Big. Effing. Deal.

I don't look for "influence" or "innovation" bullhonky in a great album. I look for - get ready for this - GOOD MUSIC. And

"Nevermind" has plenty of good music. It's not as good as "In Utero" and it was very overhyped, but that doesn't mean it's a

bad album. Why is that so hard to understand? Really, if you think this deserves only a 2, you would kill yourself after

listening to some of the millions of albums worse than this.

Long story short, if this album isn't your cup of pennyroyal tea (pun intended), that's fine, but saying it's one of the worst

albums you've ever heard is just going too far. I wish one of you Nirvana-bashers would tell us what albums you DO like,

assuming you actually want to educate us.

Edit: Okay, on second thought, OK Computer was a bad example. I don't know what I was thinking.

People shouldn't review genres they don't understand. That's the point of it being alternative.

To Be Honest your review isn't Fair on this album. its not a 2.0 record, so many classic songs on it. I get the hate for it, over-hyped e.t.c.

To call it simple, as a negative is unfair, its a Pop record at heart, Pop is simple, but I love this record, so I'm probably blinded to its suck.
