I listened to this again and I'm actually considering lowering my score to 3. It's just not that interesting, and that's not good for a song with such length as this.

Gosh, i felt like i was in the forest, with an icy wind at my back, freezing my buttocks! Agalloch. They are the greatest band in the world. They can play 10 minute long songs in the same chord and make you feel the hooves of deer and the whistle of the artic nethertoot.

Seriously, this is another band that manages to raise mass hysteria and tons of accolades that are hardly deserved.
Boring band is boring. Always have been.
One good tune on this that actually sounds like Black Metal!

I really like the direction they took here. it's not perfect but I love the heaviness. I love everything they've done so I guess i'm something of a fanboy but still this rules

Just got back from seeing them tonight. Shit was sweet, such a killer setlist. They played this of course and it ruled.

I think this is equal with The Mantle as their best work, even though it's an EP. Kind of like Meshuggah's I...like Meshuggah, these guys don't seem to get the praise they deserve on here either, but mostly everywhere else I look they do. Sputnik has some pretty harsh critics.
