Well compared to most Black Metal NaG is overproduced so your reasoning is very faulty. Just because one album is produced worse doesn't make the next overproduced.

Koo review, great album, I personally didnt like the singing, but the instruments flow well and are heavy, which is always great.

i agree %50 with this review. I agree that the production is bad, and that they are maturing now with their new albums. But I personally wouldn't rate it a 1.5, and I dont find it a repetitive as you do. But the screams are half-ass, and sadly...so is your review. Could've put in a bit more effort into it.

well im not trying to flame you, but i think you could've used a little bit more info. about the some of the songs individually. you know what i mean. Not saying to do a TBT review be any means.

That's a bit harsh. When I review I try to talk about the album's sound as a whole while citing examples and maybe talking about a couple select tracks in depth. I thought I did a pretty good job job with this but it seems like you just prefer a review of a different style. But if you really think this one is half-assed, that's your call.

I don't agree. This shit kicks ass. The roots to mondern Lamb of God exist within New American Gospel. This album may not be as good as the others, but it has its own unique sound that the other albums don't have. As for the vocals... they match the music and sound allright.

I just picked this up again and I'm liking it a lot more than I did last time. It's raw, which makes it sound even more aggressive. I still don't like it as much as the other 3 but it's definitely higher than a 1.5. I'll have to change my rating.

I'm starting to like this more than I used to. While being their worst album, it's still good.
The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion owns pretty damn hard!

Meh, i don't love this album... but i can tolerate it and i do find a lot of songs on this to be damn good. i personally love Terror and Hubris... some of the high vocals he hits at like 3:37 to 3:47 are just awesome to me, can't get enough of those screechy vocals. my opinion i guess?

I don't know really... i like randy's vocals in that song a lot, no matter how crappy people think it sounds on the album... i don't think it's a song that should be idolized by them... but it's a good song. This Message Edited On 02.07.07
