I'd say they were more akin to Morbid Angel than to Meshuggah, especially on From Mars To Sirius (which is still one of the heaviest albums in the history of metal).

Mario Duplantier is one sick bastard. For some reason, even though it's been getting a lot of hate, I like the track L'Enfant Sauvage. But so far, my favorite is definitely The Gift Of Guilt.
