this is interesting in parts. there are some saving points to this but ultimately it lost my interest.
see very slight post metal comparison here. I hear more of a djenty flavor.
all in all it's ok. agreed band name is horrible. art isn't that bad

I probably just noticed the djent more. the first impression I got was definitely some similarities with CoL. but as time went on the djent riffs wore on me.
it's not bad though. I was throwing around 3 and 3.5. I'm not done listening to it yet, it may change, we'll see.
nice job on the review tho.

well I'm done listening to the album right now heh. I didn't mean I was still listening to it for the first time I just meant I wasn't throwing it out until I listen a few more times.

but who knows, crazier things have happened. they have potential, that's for sure. I just can't stand djent riffs for the most part.

I will def listen again. The djent stuff was slight but once I heard it that was all I heard. I love meshuggah but theyre so much more than just "Djent". Didn't help that its been a bullshit week at work and it's putting me in a pissy mood.
