Damn this is really good. This and Harmonicrafts are tied for my AOTY right now.

Excellent review, pos.
Will check this, as I'm always keen on proficient doom.

from what i've heard this was alright, but nowhere near as good as the new pallbearer album imo. this band's vocalist is kind of annoying tbh.
|
| |

@Wizard:
I din't know that Dawnbringer are on Profound Lore, but yes this and Atma (my favorite Yob album) are marginally better imo. It's totally different genre though...
Pallbearer are too akin to Warning/40 Watt Sun in my book. I don't really find enough qualities that would distinguish them. And musically they are less progressive than these guys on this disc. As regards the vocals... they take some time to get used to. I'm a big fan of Uta. She's smoking hot.
... and thanks guys.

I think you may like it. The riffs are awesome on this. After multiple spins, this kind of resembles Tool's Aenima beacause of similar dynamics and guitar tone in places.

To be fair, I gave it 2 spins. Then, just forgot that it even existed. Their last album is totally average. That guitar tone is just blah.
