I've spin it a couple of times. You a Hammill fanboy, which is okay, we are all fanboys of some artist/band

a joke maybe? people write like that sometimes: "fact: newest star wars are the best", "fact: ornette coleman > john coltrane". obviously nobody thinks these are actual facts, it's just a figure of speech.

I wouldn't go that far either. He has a very unique vocal style that is always great. However, I must admit that is very strange and it always had people that dislike his vocal style. Personally I always loved it. It's a matter of an acquired taste, I think.

a famous quote describes him as "the male nico" and i couldn't agree more. his voice is an operatic one but with a characteristic gothic vibe. i've never heard anyone quite like him, although he sure influenced many (including Bowie and Lydon). also in addition to his excellent solo performances ("A Louse Is Not a Home", "Gog", "The Future Now") he is also an author of many phenomenal backing vox harmonies ("If I Could", "Mediaevil", "White Dot", "On the Surface"...).

He isn't a "good" vocalist objectively speaking. But his style is perfect for the band's sound and atmosphere. He's like an Ozzy
