Still, this album is excellent and enjoyable throughout.

It's surely an excellent album and all of the songs are solid, but I don't think it's a classic because of the vocals. They just aren't nearly as good as Chuck's later ones.

Instead of talking about pure carnage and gore, the song�s subjects are often more intellectual Not true for Scream Bloody Gore, that's for sure.

this album is overated, the production bothers me.. Symbolic is my favorite Death album

It could very well be their coolest musically, but the vocals on here really detract from the overall album. I would agree that Chuck's vocals on Symbolic were probaby his best.

I don't mind the vocals to be honest, it's just the guitar is pretty fuzzy and overall it's not as dynamic as their later releases.

This is probably the next Death album I'll get. Symbolic was awesome, and I have heard this is better, so.
