One thing that pissed me off is the forcing of Blegh into so many tracks. I really like Royal beggers as a song but why is there a random/lazy blegh thrown in?. Vocally Architects is very frustrating because Sam can sing, he can do lows, he can do mids and his cleans can be very vunerable. He has the range but doesnt fucking use it

Hearing the new song has made me realize they have gone two completely different directions in their career when it came to people voicing displeasure to their then current sounds respectively. After The Here and Now, they made this which brought back the heavy but meshed in the softer elements they wanted to keep, and it felt like an actual passionate performance to win people over again while growing their audience at the same time with a more palatable sound.
Flash forward to now, and they make what boils down to a joke "we're mad at online haters" track that lacks any conviction or nuance and throws down this completely generic heavy chug nonsense that fans of their old stuff wouldn't even enjoy.
I think the main obvious reason for such a stark contrast in how it was handled is that Tom was still here for this album. Tom loved the music he made and loved making music as a whole that would relate to people. This new shit is just too reactionary to feel genuine at all, and I don't get who the song is supposed to impress. It doesn't have any of the good songwriting that they used to have (obviously cause of no Tom), it sounds overly manufactured, and honestly feels like a song made out of pure stupid internet rage.
