This is such an underrated Koz joint along with Universal Themes. The humility is second to none, when his doctor sits him down to have a chat about getting burned again..

Lord knows we all been there lmao

some of the lyrics on this are especially painful. stunning lack of self-awareness and with the things that have come out about him they feel so manipulative. still find myself listening to this a fair bit and enjoying it, too.

i find koz such an interesting person. its hard to reconcile his actions with those of someone who seems so sensitive and empathetic in the face of death and tragedy (particularly on benji). he definitely feels even more hypocritical and manipulative in hindsight, but i think i always sort of felt this way on some level since he was always kinda a dick lol. it always felt like he was hiding some aspect of himself and embellishing his stories but after all the news came out its beyond douchebaggery. i find it easier to listen to his less autobiographical stuff now

I mean the title track here is a beauty and paints him as someone who notices and gives a shit with what's going on - yin and yang, the old cliche of the 'dark secret side', people can compartmentalise and also have varying ways they judge or classify their own actions I guess

I'm sure he thinks he's 'a lot more good than bad'
