What do you mean by new, his prison and post-prison albums or...?
'Yeah, true. He took a very "bold" approach at parts that was rather offensive at times.'
People are always looking for scapegoats when things are going badly...
In Flanders we have a very popular nationalist party that spends most of its time blaming Wallonia for everything lol. (they get more than 30% of the votes though)

Well, it's an easy solution and it appeals to a lot of people so it's not really surprising they get a lot of votes. Do you know how many more votes the "Green" (eco) party here got when shit with Fukushima went down and they were the first ones to cry Wolf about nuclear energy? Forget about it. We even have two conflicting deals about the future of Germany's nuclear power now. (no shit)

"What is magical about Minor Barre chords played through a fucking Peavey Backstage, while hollering and whinnying?!~
No Burzum even comes close to De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, as an example.
Not even in the same universe.
Burzumheads are some of the nuttiest most delusional fucksticks out there."
Obviously a troll. DMDS is loaded with bar chords too.

Yeah. But DMDS is still as good or better than HLTO.

Okay, to wrap up:
-this album is horrible
-All Burzum is hilariously awful unless you are a metal and leet and think incompetent screechy nonsense is true Black Metal
-Varg is still a murderer and a creep.
-Burzum-heads are the among the stupidest metal fans out there, even dumber than Darkthrone fanfools.

Well I don't think 'Umskiptar' is quite as bad as some people are making out, but at the same time I can understand why it is regarded as one of Burzum's worst ever albums. The vocals are utterly horrendous. Most of the time it's basically Varg reading Icelandic poetry in such a monotonous manner, and when he tries to go harsher with his vocals, he sounds as if he needs cough medicine. Even when he tries singing cleanly, it still has no effect whatsoever. There's the guitars too-and even if they have some attempt at recreating the sound found on Burzum's first few albums-they still don't manage to create the atmosphere or effect found there. That said, I found the first half of the album to be so much better than the second half-in fact, I would have liked it more had the albuum stopped at 'Valdalgr (Song of the Fallen)'. What an utter disappointment for a man who said this was to be a 'Return to his roots'.

Just checking in...yup Burzum is still crap.
That murdering bastard must have a good laugh every day.

When artists write such shit I always wonder, if the talent they had years ago wasn't just illusion.

I don't know if a 2.0 was right. I think this album was a bit in "over your head" and "not your style" territory. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but I thought the album did have a certain ambience and vibe to it that I really enjoyed.
