they did that nine years ago and it was small handful of shows at the end of 2013. after that they played consistently from 2014 to august of 2019. that narrative has been completely dismantled. plus they just announced it on their official twitter page:

Stop fanboying, they did that since 2012, I was supposed to see them in 2013 and they decided to cancel, they also did that shit in 2014 claiming that The Powers That B would've been their last album just to keep on releasing more albums.

where exactly do we disagree? it's been over 9 years. they played 100s of shows consistenly from 2014 to 2019. bands cancelling shows is hardly a novel act. bummer you never go to see them, sounds like they really hurt you.

That's very rich of you, assuming I had never seen them and that somehow I got a problem because of that. I saw them live in 2019 and it was great, I'm just saying that they like to come up with some bullshit from time to time. I know they are not the only artists that have done this, some of my favorite artists would love to come up woth bullshit on the regular (e.g. MF DOOM), I'm just saying this kind of attitude is rude towards musicians ans artists' fanbase who have already paid for a ticket in order to see them just for them to not show up.
