I'm guessing you're 16 Paracletus96 because that was the least funny thing I've ever read.

Album might be my favourite mwY.

@Knott, I'm 17 and I've been posting on here since I was 16...don't generalize all teens to be retarded like that kid lol

Anyways, it's been a while since I lasted posted on this site (my laptop broke like 5 months ago) but a new mwY album definitely constitutes a comment.

First off...Brother, Sister is by far their greatest album. Lyrically, instrumentally, thematically...there is no better way to describe Brother, Sister than as a modern day classic. In the same vien as OK Computer being a recognizable and heralded classic, I believe Brother, Sister and Brand New's Devil and God are two albums that are both indisputable achievements.

Now onto Ten Stories...this album is fucking awesome. One thing I noticed from the start was its brevity...it just flies by. It's also an incredibly layered album...I didnt notice it at first, but even the songs like Cardiff Giant which you included in the "slump" of the album have hidden aggression that's chilling. I have a lot more to say on other songs...maybe at a later time.

My favorite songs must be Grist for the Malady Mill, East Enders Wives, Fox's Dream of the Log Fume, and Nine Stories. But I've only heard the album a few times.

I love this album love this band i like its all crazy! But hey that's me only problem with it is that it repeats the choruses a bit much unlike their past albums which is more like reading a page from a book

I'm 19, and like to think I have at least a fair bit of sense about me.

On a side note, this album is a bit sleepy without being able to read the lyrics alongside it. I'm not sure if that should be considered a fault or not.

I can agree with these sentiments.

Might listen to it a little more, write up a counterpoint to your review, Matt.

If your hatred for mwy is based on the thought that they're pretentious and obscure, you either never listened to them before or never listened to any other band before

I like Brother, Sister and It's All Crazy! pretty much equally, probably both as 3.5s (I think they're inconsistent as hell) and this is somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4. The last 4 songs are amazing here.

Then again I think Brother, Sister and It's All Crazy! get scarily good at the end too.

A major disappointment. Needs to stop writing about animals and metaphors and stick to the human ideas that made his writing and their sound so good. He no seems to just pile on metaphor after metaphor to the point that it seems like he's doing it for the sake of doing it. That aside, this album is boring. Nothing stands out. So upsetting, I had high hopes for this. I wanted something to effect me emotionally, in the same way i used to scream, "Let us die! Let us die!"
