this album justs reinforces the quote "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" except, this pertains to sound and not appearance, replace "beauty" with "goodness" (if that is the right way to say it) and then replace "eye" with "ear". I love this album, i think it's awesome, but a bunch of other people hate it.

I bunch of people just tend to hate Atreyu because they think that its "the cool thing to do, because everyone else hates them." This album and Suicide Notes are both really good albums.

I liked this band before i knew any better....
I started listening to other bands in the genre as i lay dying, august burns red, still remains, unearth, it dies today etc.
Listen to an album from one of those bands then put in the curse. Now you know what im talking about.
Immediatly you notice a downgrade in vocals, guitar work and musicianship/ songwritting.
The guitar tone is flat out weak and terrible on SNABK. Not much is improved in that department on this album.

I listen to a whole lot of As I lay Dying, and alot of other bands in the genre. And it has never once made me think any less of Atreyu. That was a lame assumption clayman.This Message Edited On 06.14.06

amen, i'm not a huge fan of as i lay dying, but they are ok, i still like atreyu better, and this album is excellent, IMO, of course. nobody can tell anyone what good music is because musical taste differs among people. to each his own.

Just wanna say... that bleeding mascara riff in the beginning is a synth... he couldn't play the riff when they recorded... so he synthed it and figured he'd learn it for touring.

I just cant stand this band at all...

the first song i heard off this album was bleeding mascara.....i thought it was actually pretty good and i didnt understand why lots of people said this album was disappointing.....then i actually got the album and realized bleeding mascara is the only song that is pretty good......overall very average
