Oh yeah, this is just so damn transcendental still and haven’t heard anything like it since.

No complaints, album bangs.

If Archspire weren’t just made up of metal bros - nice.
Nothing wrong with metal bros….just not in my cereal.

This came out at a time I was digging exclusively for new technical/ brutal death metal bands with labels like Unique Leader, Brutal Bands, etc being main reference points. Found it odd at the time that almost no one was talking about this album. It seems to be approaching cult status which I think is fucking awesome!!

Man.... I've listened to this album dozens of times over the years but I'm still impressed more and more every time I listen to it. The way they eschew exact repetition and draw countless interesting variations out of a single riff is far beyond what most bands (even Ontogeny, which has the same guitarist) are capable of, and something I aspire to as a composer. It all comes off as so chaotic but the underlying structures are airtight.
Plus this whole album's atmosphere and vibe is absolutely beautiful.

So glad to see this love. Yeah this is something I knew people would have to take time to process. It was love at first listen for me. I know music from the future when I hear it, and this is that.

I think I was iffy on this album at first because it can kinda sound like a clusterfuck

Yep.unlike some albums that go for that approach, you can go back and relisten to this and hear everything clearly in the clusterfuck moments. Mixing is awesome.
