add a semi-typical riff here and there, make sure to use the same acoustic ballad chord progs and rhythms, and add dem palm mutes

you are now a pop punx guitarist, congrats!

I was mainly referring to that style of pop punk that NFG helped popularize, I'm more one for stuff like Joyce Manor and Tigers Jaw

guitar is so hard you don't have to be a technical guitar player to be talented.

guitar is really hard to play

but I learned to play pop punk songs pretty quickly, even though I fail at guitar in every other

instance. more of a violinist/pianist than guitarist.

or if anything, I'd do dem sweet basslines/bass solos

Music doesn't have to be technical to be good, and same applies vice versa. I mean hell BTBAM are fucking amazing at their instruments but their music is terribad.

The point of pop punk is to be fun, catchy, and energetic. It's fine if that doesn't appeal to you, but saying it sucks because it's not technically advanced or because it doesn't have mind blowing song writing is dumb.

This is at least a 4.5. Rating this a 3 is a crime.

Cause obviously everyone should be forced to have the exact same opinion as you because you know there's definitely such a thing as objectively good music yeah makes sense

A LOT of modern pop punk bands sound NFG

and yeah, being technical has nothing to do with it being good or even talent

look at blink, some of the simplest songs ever.

Not butthurt, just think you're being a dumbass for not realizing just cause you like something that doesn't mean everyone else will like it just as much. Ever heard of subjectivity?

Besides I don't even dislike this album, I think it's good, hence the 3. Just not the best pop punk ever of all time like so many people have made it out to be, it's good, but it's really just a mediocre pop punk album imo.
