@fowo: there's a drum teacher that's done a drum cover of Forced Entry and he's provided the time signatures throughout

Specifically Forces Entry too. No idea why though his voice floors me. I wish he’d be proud of that performance.

@OmairSh

yeah I've seen it, it's where my "speculated" tempo came out of. On the other hand, Baard fucking Kolstad said himself (when Zach Ansley asked him on instagram) that he has no idea whats the tempo there and he just "turns off" his logical thinking and goes with pure instinct and what he feels like

Einar doesn't like it and it's not hard to guess why, as much as I love this record and amount of feelings put into it it's much more chaotic than their next records. It's been a proggresive trend of theirs, the further they go the more focused and tight their sound is.

Also I bet that when Einar sings these songs it makes him remember having dreadlocks+silver pants combo and since he dresses much more "styley" now it feels uncomfortable ;)

Fuck Einar. He's a cool dude though

@fowo, ah if you've already seen that video, then I can't help any more. I wouldn't be surprised if Baard goes with his instinct, he's got a great drum sense.

You're right about why the band doesn't like this and older albums anymore. Too many ideas crammed together, though that's what makes this their best album for me. This one's their most varied, but still pretty cohesive. Doubt they'll top it with their current direction tbh

Yea, Forced Entry rules. Actually this whole album does, I just like the other stuff a little more

I'd take Forced Entry alone over either the Congregation or Malina.

Congregation I still enjoyed, but neither that or Malina can touch this or TPS

Band perspective and fan perspective is such a funny thing. I can see why the band might not like this album as much, but it is so obviously their best.

What you gotta keep in mind that each of their albums is exploring different direction and each succeeds in their own regards. I don't know any other band where for every album there's almost equal ammount of people calling it their best.

Personally I prefer Malina over Bilateral but I madly love this chaotic and wild sound they had here.

Oh and btw, they started recording drums for new album today, really looking ahead to what they'll surprise us with this time.

I think Malina is their best to date. I feel their craft is maturing and refining with each release.

Can't wait to see what's next.
