His lyrics are so samey and unintelligent, he's just rambling 'gangsta' nothings all the way through this album. Hip-hop has taken a turn for the worse if this is whats passing as good rap these days.

My cousin lent it to me as he thought I would like it, the production is exactly the same as eminems later albums ( funnily enough) and I'm so sick of the style. Spose I did go a bit OTT.This Message Edited On 03.27.06

Why do we still have to live on this planet with rap music?

^^^ huh? not all rap music is bad.
Maybe all the stuff you hear, but if you look at the older or more underground side of things you might find you like it better than alot of rock... believe me, I used to think just like you. This Message Edited On 03.27.06

If you dislike rap, good for you. But please don't bring idiotic comments like that in here.

I like hip hop, but i do not find 50 Cent's music appealing at all.

It seems he has much more interest in looking tough, being a P.I.M.P. and street cred than making his lyrics even the slightest bit inventive or interesting. His synth hooks are nothing special, either.

VagueDan - I dont know much about the set up fiddy has going... but the lyric on the MTV poll "I love you like a fat boy love cake" was creditted as being written by 4 names and the last of them was Curtis Jackson!

and that's probably referring to the song as a whole, not just the lyrics.

I really don't like him. Or anything he says. it's certainly not as unlistenable as alot of other rap. But it still sucks to be frank.

Well in regards to 50 Cent, I stated several times in the review that lyrically he is not spectacular. To say 50 Cent offers no musical merit is plain stupid. The melodies and rhythms in some 50 Cent songs are catchy as hell. They may not be as complicated as a Progressive Rock melody, but most music is not like that. Less well known Alternative bands are applauded when they come up with catchy melodies, Hip-hop/rap artists are criticized when they do.

If you apply your statement "the lyrics are anoying" to all rap music, then you REALLY need to be punched in the face.

They say their still "down for the homies", these idoits should look around them because they are now living in big house, in a rich neighborhood with little or no crime at all

Many of these mainstream rappers you're probably referring to bring their crews with them and get them out of the bad neighbourhead.

Oh yeah and by the way there is a difference between being inspired by something and exploiting something

I never said the lyrics were inspired, I said:

If you’re looking for inspired lyrics, then Get Rich or Die Tryin’ will be a big disappointment.

This album has actually grown on me quite a bit. Although it's still not near as good as The Massacre it still has its moments.

I have finally decided to stop going around and dissing peoples taste in music, it was fun at first now its just boring.

It also makes you look like an ignorant douchebag. Is it so hard to just stick to whatever crap you listen you and not make pointless posts about albums you've obviously never listened fully to?
