I'll have to check this out. Hope I'll like this one at least. Most of their stuff is either mindblowingly awesome to me (De-Loused and Frances, and parts of The Bedlam) or absolutely unlistenable. I even had to take out a lot of the random noise parts manually out of songs so I could listen to them. Me and this band have a love-hate relationship going on and I hope this affair ends with some love that's not tough.

Definitely some new influences and stuff but it's good. The centerpiece and the title track are my top tracks, although Empty Vessels and Trinkets are excellent too.

This is easily the best since Frances the Mute for me...

I've only been into this band for over a year or so but I could never really warm up to Bedlam and it's follow up, however this feel like a full band effort and i'm really lovin' it. That synth in the Whip hand is just so badass and dirty!

wooo feature.

i dig this way more than i thought i would. like, i think i made fun of TMV for a good 3 years until
now.

also fuck. The Malkin Jewel is a dirty fucking jam. amazing chunk of songs here, and then a bunch
are alright too. glad omar has chilled the fuck out too. always thought the whole assault on music
thing these guys had going on was too much shock factor and not enough substance.

In particular, the record starts up with "Whip Hand," a perplexing track that not only acts
as an incredibly weak opener, but a truly weak song overall.

dude, the fuzzy deep noise shit in the background fucking LAUNCHES this album. am i alone on this
one?

EDIT: oh and then that fucking 'landmine' shtick ruins it. oh god. nevermind
