first 6 tracks of Decon are all pretty strong, after that I couldn't care less

Um what the last three mins of the t/t are the best part of that whole album

i've come in recent days to really appreciate the bouncy circus absurdism of The Mighty Masturbator as well.

Feel like Deconstruction works best if you're into Devin's humor. His crowd banter's great, but Deconstruction and Ziltoid are both tough to sit through

the mighty masturbator is a KILLER song, the only one i rly listen too off decon. i don't remember liking the rest so much
ziltoid is fun but i cant help but feel that concept could have been executed in an even more fun way

Masturbator owns, that section with Puciato is enough to justify the entire album
t/t is a whole goddamn mess and where that album collapsed in on itself like a bad souffle

that Gregorian chant he threw in that section is pretty dope (that's definitely not a gregorian chant but idk what else to call it lol)

The first song on this album is massively underrated compared to all the others. Every time it starts I imagine I'm at an uncrowded water park, sitting in an indoor wavepool with warm, azure water and without all the kids peeing in it. I'm waiting for the waves to turn on and then I hear the spoken intro to Seventh Wave over the loudspeaker, echoing throughout the tiled floors of the wavepool. Just as the intro ends, the guitars and the waves in the wavepool build up and soon I'm riding the waves to the tune of the song. The whole album is perfect IMO but the intro song really leads into something fun. =)

looool, alright if that becomes a copypasta hopefully it gets people to give the album a (re)listen bahaha

copypasta aside Seventh Wave easily a top 5 track here, that chorus is iconic
@YoYo the twinkly lead in that song is nice but everything else gets a little too close to his the xD aLiEnS Devy humour that this album is, blessedly, otherwise devoid of for me

This is defy Devy's best record, but think his strongest single moments might still be on Terria

that's an interesting opinion, particularly because terria isn't very good.

Uhhhhh, Terria's one of his other 5/5s. Though it also takes a long-ish time to grow on you so I can't entirely blame you for that opinion. But anyway yeah it's actually brilliant

The best moment in the entire Devin Townsend discography is during Terria when he’s playing through the most beautiful ambient verse I’ve ever heard and then he just casually croons “fuck off”
