Nope. Cabinet is basically Suffo worship. This and Noctambulent are almost a completely different band in terms of sound. Jam Noctambulent right away tbh

literally never have heard someone describe cabinet as suffocation worship but ok. some of the songs on cabinet (uncle damfee for instance) are a proto version of what would come on noctambulant, but cabinet is still undeniably in the style of spawn of possession - who have a sound completely their own and definitely not simple suffo worship lol

That's just what it feels like to me, that's why I love it so much. It scratches the exact itch I want when wanting brutal tech in the vein of early Suffo, Deeds of Flesh, Cryptopsy, and maybe that first Decapitated album.

There's something about that 90s brutal tech stuff that has a distinct vibe and value to it that I can't find anywhere else, and Cabinet falls directly into that echelon as one of my favourite albums ever.

But I specifically single out Suffocation especially because Cabinet has that same hyper-active bass sound and technicality to it that Pierced from Within has, only faster and even more intense.
