Mastodon's "Crack the Skye" is a trek to the psychedelic realms of heavy metal, blending each band member's musicianship and unique vocal prowess to create an emotional and occasionally frenzied masterpiece.

true the czar and last baron are their two best tracks, and both on this album, theres no bad songs on here, full of memorable guitar, and vocal melodies. Heavy parts and more melodic. sometimes within one song. i'd say their best work.

you'll love this album if brent has your favorite voice/vocals in the band, which he is mine. i love his voice. that's why i dont fuck with a lot of newer stuff, he's used less and less which i don't like. he's present for sure, but not as much

Id put hearts alive over anything on this album

Furthermore, id also put TRILOBITE over anything on any of their albums

preparing for the mega monster tour, always heard here's and there's of Mastodon but never really gave their older albums a shot. Divinations went absolutely nuts

This is a great album. The one that’s closest to outright sucking is prob Hushed. The first two songs on this album alone, so dope

The guitarwork in the middle section of The Last Baron is astonishing.

The Hunter is an up and down album—decent, but way more holes in it than the first four LPs. The next three as I remember literally decrease in quality, and why the fuck is Hushed so long

Nearly agree completely with your last comment Rob - despite the terrible length of Hushed, I'd put it just ahead of the two that came before it.
