Great show from John Bush the definitive Anthrax vocalist.

Some fantastic songs here but a few filler for sure.

This album is probably the band's strongest with Bush, although I would argue that 'Sound of white noise' fares slightly better in terms of songwriting and instrumentation. Nonetheless, this is still a collection of powerful songs, with 'Safe Home' and 'What doesn't die' proving to be some of the best songs of the band's career. It also seems to prove the band as a more co-operative group, the instruments all colliding together for a pretty tight and solid sound. My only real quip is that fourteen songs seems a little excessive, and especially because a few songs appear nothing more than filler material.

Safe Home would have been a massive radio hit if it had been written by Metallica

Ya I bought this album the day it came out. I'm kind of an Anthrax fanboy, since SOWN and POT are two of my favourite albums of all time.

The only high points of this album are certain riffs, the 2 Dimebag solos (there are better Dimebag solos on the Volume 8 album) and Safe Home, and What Doesn't Die.

Great consensus review, not so much as a descriptive review though.

Much of the thrashy edge of the group was primarily with Joey, but their masculinity was always present regardless of the vocalist.

If the crap tracks were gone, this would be an even better record.
