Album sounds just as good when played at 45rpm as when it's being played at it's regular 33rpm.

this probably goes from doomy death metal to straight up funeral doom.

I had never heard this until I spun it the first time and I actually thought the 45rpm was the correct setting until I noticed the song times didn't match up with what they were supposed to be

i did that with my copy of swarth, it was a triple LP and i thought 33 was the right speed but it started playing and it sounded slow and fucked
but honestly i kept it playing and it was totally weird in a good way, sounded like an actual lovecraft monster slowly trudging through the slimy bowels of the deep earth.

You wouldn't happen to have recorded any of that by any chance? I can kind of imagine it and it sounds pretty badass
The only other album I made that mistake with was Sunn O)))'s 00void and I still play that one on 33 as opposed to 45 because I like the slower, heavier, dronier sound it gets

alright cool ill try and get to it this weekend, i actually have a record coming in that i cant find anywhere on the internet so i was gonna try and rip it (ive never done it before) so this sill give me a chance to try out my setup and see how it goes
dont hesitate to remind me too i tend to forget things sometimes

Just out of curiosity, what is your setup like for ripping LP's?
I just use an RCA to 3.5mm converter that I plug into the mic port on my laptop and I tend to rip pretty much everything I get

what im going to try is hooking up a 1/4" male to male cable from the headphones output in my stereo into my interface and see how that does, it should turn out fine i think.
