Lol, I've been a Bush fan for longer than most people on this site.

Seems like acad used to be halfway constructive and I agreed with him sometimes. His gf must have dumped him recently so now he trolls everyone with angsty comments. Idk. It's ok we love you acad

Fantastic review

yeah academy used to be such a nice, helpful guy what happened

well idk if youre going to read this or just fall victim to gyro's go-to move (supportive, unhelpful comments so you'll do the same on his forthcoming wonderbread shitfest...) but the (first) reason I negged is that you dedicate quite a bit of attention (in a five track preview EP review) entertaining your own ill-conceived discussion about its theme (there is a track called "Deep Space" ... i think that's where the EP got its title... don't think there was much thought that went into it) does the album art look very spacey? what about the other songs?? wtf why are your writing about any of this bullshit? oh yea, I remember, you didn't know how to open this review...
...except you actually did. you came up with this excellent opener later:
It’s the safest thing since airbags, to be sure, but there’s also a tangible lack of friction, and a lack of friction often means no heat
which would have been a great way to begin discussion of the music instead of having the reader thinking about Star Wars or other retarded shit that has nothing to do with this release.
As for my other gripes, first let me know if you're going to take gyro's advice and ignore me before i bother typing them out...

you hurt his feelings gyro

yeah im waiting for a shoutbox apology

Album Rating: 3.0
I thought that their last album was overrated as hell on here. I may or may not give this a try.
Good review!

blah

Also, I laughed pretty hard at the dramatic tone of "fall victim to" so thanks for that.

dude what the fuck are you talking about... one of the songs is about her parents almost losing their house when money got tight recently or some shit and another song is about her emailing bemis. and im pretty sure at least a few of these were written way before the valley even came out so don't give me shit about them "setting out" to do anything new with the EP as a whole
about a small introductory paragraph?
shut your secular face, douchenugget.
the review is 400 words and that paragraph is 100 of them... and the opening of a review is pretty important (not that I'd expect you to understand since you don't seem to read any of them)... his approach prompts sappy, cliched bullshit like "Forget outer space; this EP doesn’t even have enough fuel to make it out of the atmosphere." and "Houston, we have a problem" (c'mon irving, "Tyler, we have a problem" would have at least been a nice (but still pretty cheesy) wink to fans)

you probably didn't even go to church today #falsefan
|
| |
i feel like irving is suffering because you two have hard ons for each other
|
| |
ur just jelly ur not in on it
|
| |
no one has hard ons for me :[

blah

I don't give a fuck whether or not it comes across like that.
ok instead of being a total badass: how about a link or something... as far as i can tell its a valentines day EP of some old love songs that didn't fit on the valley and some new love songs that they recorded at home... but i could be wrong?
doesn't make my criticism any less valid either way tbh, so i don't know you keep declaring 'whether or not they succeeded is irrelevant' like youre making some kind of point... i'm not arguing about whether they succeeded or failed, i'm arguing that irving shouldn't have framed this as some grand departure (because it's really not). the whole review seems so contrived, which is a shame because i think he did a nice job for the most part when he focuses on what was weak (or rather, uninspiring) about the music.
but yeah for future reference its best just to ignore people who challenge you i guess thats a good life philosophy good luck with that dawg
