I was kind of pre-occupied while I was listening to it so I didn't really have a chance to focus on the lyrics but I'm guessing they'll be what draws me in. I fucking love break-up albums. I'll give the lyrics a closer listen next time.
and yeah I'll check that one out when I finish digesting this one.

I've been trying since I was 18 to dig the Unicorns and in 7 years it hasn't happened yet : (
but ya I'm pretty comfortable loving Islands and feeling disenchanted with The Unis for now.
Mister Heavenly is killer too...

i mean it's a lot different but the Unicorns have more personality, and when listening to it you can tell that they know something you don't (so I guess I can see why some people wouldn't like it)

closing this album with "Same Thing" is so bleak

This is a good album, but there are really only three essential tracks (In a Dream, Hallways, O Maria) that compare to their other stuff for me. Tend to prefer his faster songs though so this was bound to be my least fav. But Hallways is one of his best songs, up there with Rough Gem, etc.
