Niiiice, this gets a little overshadowed by the two either side but is every bit as good imo - bites off more than it can chew in the best way

I actually think it's a tad more listenable than PC due to the pair of nothing tracks in the latter half of that album. Everything here is weird but it's crunchy enough to be a substantial song. Those are my very basest impressions after one listen of this and three to PC though.

Looking forward to finally experiencing Shadows next! I've been wanting to hear it for years but didn't feel like I could just dive into it free of context.

Ah yeah, that's a fair take - love PC but it's definitely a side A jam. Lots and lots of tasty developments here, some of them messy as hell but all of em fun. Maybe this needs a bump hmm. Will be interested to hear what you make of Shadows; that one's much more soundscapey and less substantial, but it wears it well. If you dig Blinded By Blood, that would bode well

Yeah, great to see you enjoy this one too NOTINTHEFACE! It's so nicely bombastic and over the top and saturated and awesome!

Shadows Of The Sun is probably the exact opposite as far as their discog goes (or perhaps Messe even more so?). Just checked my ratings for Ulver and WHOA there are many 4.0s and higher for them haha. Must mean they're good right?

Listened to this one again recently, even better than I recalled it being. Blinded by Blood and Your Call / Operator are too damn good

Did the average for this drop and how does today's Sputnikmusic community justify this, I am shocked and appalled

Yeah it's incredible. Going to jam after Flowers Of Evil finishes, and hear some Really Good Ulver finally.
