I think you should have centered the review more around this point:

that this feels harmless and i get this vibe that its trying to impress ppl

rather than the whole "it's too easy/accessible therefore it sucks" theme. Because I feel like the

harmless and trying to impress people bit is why this really falls short, and you accidentally got

caught up on that accessibility argument in the process of writing this.

and yeah I find this to be one of The Roots' weaker albums. The beats are awesome, but I get that

whole cheesy/trying-to-hard/taking-ourselves-super-cereal vibe from the lyrics. That was my issue

with Oneirology as well.

I've found the harder you have to work at something, the more embedded it will be into you, the more you will appreciate its existence, its fearlessness to not give in to you just so it will be liked.

I don't want to go all grammar-nazi, but this doesn't make sense and the central thesis of this review is illogical.

I'm not mad, I'm just genuinely curious as to whether or not you even know how to make sense

"the central thesis of this review is illogical"
Yeah I gotta agree with Gyro here.

For some reason I get the feeling your analogy to having sex, and this album is like a prostitute... so it just comes too easily? (no pun intended)

Anyways no matter what, I think it would be a good argument for a 3.0 (good), because then you're not criticizing the album so much as stating why it's not better than just 'good.'
But a 2.5 doesn't work for me.
