A lot of it's pretty standard and doesn't really set itself apart from the rest of the genre (metallic clangy programmed drums over prolonged (often cheesy) synth strings). It sounds nice and all most of the time but it can get annoying and it's a little all over the place.

i don't think an electronic album has to set itself apart from the genre to be a 5 lol. don't feel as though the drums are prolonged or it's cheesy either. definitely not all over the place, the ambient tracks lead into the following songs perfectly.

I think it has to have some sort of identity. Seems like Beefcake is just taking his turn experimenting with as many styles as he can and doesn't really have his own thing going. Didn't say the drums were prolonged, just think the metallic clangyness can get annoying at times. There are definitely sections I like a lot (hence the 4 rating) but I don't think he nails everything he tries.
