It's not exactly high-end writing (2 or 3 pretty bad run-on sentences) but I do agree with some of it. Not sure about the whole post-hardcore rant or the unnecessary Dear Hunter shade, but the album itself I do find kind of boring. Haven't been able to get into it yet as a Thrice fan. Given how boring Beggars was for me I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They started losing me at the tail end of Alchemy. I really miss their more experimental days.

I don't especially like Thrice so it hasn't nothing to do with your opinion. I have Illusion of Safety and Artist in the Ambulance at both at 3s, and I've never even listened to this album. It's a combination of your writing style and your attitude that make you a crappy reviewer.

actually, having reread your review, i suppose it's not bad besides a few run on sentences. i guess i just completely disagree with it and think some of things are retarded. "With Major/Minor, Thrice continue with their peers to create these works devoid of direction, purpose" definitely not understanding that though, considering they just created concept albums that seem to have a pretty good sense of direction and purpose..
