Montreal --> The Fall is pretty amazing too but Same Old Song drags it down a lil

compare it to music in general and yeah it's pretty sweet but amongst so many amazing tracks it's a little weaker

I mean it's sandwiched between Initiation and the Fall which are pretty much the best two songs on the album

what? lol, that's silly. to be honest I wasn't there when the album was released cos I didn't get

round to giving the weeknd a proper go til april last year (I'd already heard one song and thought I

didn't like it so I forgot about him for a while). the production on that song is ace. the remaster on

the trilogy is horrible though, probably the most botched track of the lot,

i think people's expectations being it's a clams beat were somewhat unrealistic

glad he tried to make something cohesive within the scope of the record and not another "i'm god" tho

on the original mixtape the beat's really smooth and seductive. on trilogy it sounds really rough, almost like an early demo

i liked drake in the weeknd's music but abel sounded like shit (comparitively) on this album. wish they would collab in the future but i kind of doubt it.

also mixtapes >>> trilogy, i prefer the weeknd with some more dirt in the soundstream

they weren't completely radio ready though, that's the point. all the atmosphere and flow was sucked out of the remasters, and the vocals, whereas they kinda floated through the production before and had this great syrupy drunk vibe, were brought right to the forefront.

the beat on the original the fall sounds really great with my earphones, but the new one is grating as hell,

actually I've changed my mind, wicked games is the worst remaster. when I first heard it I thought it

was a demo or a shitty cover/remix

someone I'm friends with on FB was like "OMG I'm obsessing over Wicked Games by the weekend"

I misspell "weekend" "weeknd" all the time now, in essays and such
