I may have to raise this back up to a 4, despite a couple songs that just miss. The Gift of Music is one of the most touching songs I've heard for some time; I've heard plenty of metal songs about music, but none from a Christian perspective until this one. As a music enthusiast, I just can't explain why music should have such an effect on me without God there, and that just continues to deepen my appreciation for music.
It really helps that so many of the riffs and leads on this album smoke. Altar to the Unknown God 2:00 has quickly become one of my favorite riffs of the year.

I got this and the newest album from Korn for free the other day. After hearing both I immediately threw Korn's CD in the trash. This album is pretty damn good and I wouldn't be surprised if it's one the best of 2011.
