I finally tried this shit. Nothing special but underrated. Obviously as polarizing as it gets with most "hardcore" metal/rock fans disliking the sound alone and "electronic" fans not getting the rock mood of it. And it just works IF you ignore lyrics like in all Korn stuff post Peachy.

@Valkoor952 Looking at your ratings, I am wondering why you didn't rate SOADs first self-titled album. Didn't want to hate or just skipped it?

Can't quite make up my mind about it. I've always liked it a lot, but in a different way compared to the other SOAD albums. I was actually planning to have a long session with it so I can finally decide on the score, but I keep forgetting. I'm pretty sure I shall give it a final score by the end of the week though.

Deftones are actually one of very few bands I really dislike. I just can't listen to them because of the vocals. They piss me off to the point it's not even funny. I rated Pony 3 because of "Passenger" with Maynard from Tool lol. I always fantasize: What if he'd be the lead singer? Man. Easy 4+. And then I get back into reality. Fuck me, right? -.-

I was in the same boat as you. I started with White Pony and had no idea how people can like them so much, I didn't enjoy them. However after checking Diamond eyes and letting it grow on me it was fucking great. My point being : White Pony is hard to get into, it clicked very very late for me.

Judging by what you wrote Diamond Eyes would be the best start for you, as SNW has some of Chino's moodiest and whiniest vocals if you wanna call them that. Checkout DE and get back to me. I'll do the same with SOAD s/t.
