For the hundredth time...it's not the opinion, it's the rampant fangirlism.
Where the fuck do you see rampant fangirlism in the review? Yes, I like Taylor Swift and yes, I gave this a good score. But nowhere in the review do I abandon fair evaluation for the sake of fanatical giddiness.

Wow, you sure seem upset. Ah, fanaticism...
Come on, man. I went back to get quotes, but I'd be copy/pasting like half of the the review. It's mostly the overall tone. It reads a lot differently from your ordinary positive review. There's just some wording that makes it lean slightly towards promotional propaganda.
Okay, stuff like: "ultimate live CD/DVD bestowed upon them," "bedazzling and spellbinding live affair that truly captures the essence of her “magical” celebrity persona," and "There is so much to be seen and heard that it couldn’t possibly all fit in a description this brief."

Really? This is like writing an overwhelmingly positive J. Beibs or Ke$ha review and not expecting a shit-ton of backlash.

idk if i'd go THAT far...
@sowing, it's the way it was written. honestly, if I could neg you, I probably wouldn't, because I think the middle paragraph and the beginning of the last paragraph would make a pretty good review.
but couldn't you imagine reading this:
. So drop everything now. Taylor Swift’s latest effort is a bedazzling and spellbinding live affair that truly captures the essence of her “magical” celebrity persona. It is the live follow-up to her magnum opus that fans have been waiting for
...on ticketmaster.com before shelling out 140 dollars to take your twelve year old cousins to the show?
As for the first paragraph, that's just really not about the music at all... it's mind-numbing fanboyism (which is fine, really, as long as you can own up to it and use it in moderation. and in a way that's endearing or relatable...)
for future reference: when i make a troll list, to piss people off about something of which I have a vague understanding of the site's general opinion: I almost ALWAYS open with the same matter-of-fact, royal we, smug generalization voice that you go with here. I do it because I know it pisses people off. I don't think that's why you did it. I think you just have a habit of beginning a lot of your reviews with either (1) stating as fact something that is not only your opinion, but something that you know full well is debated/argued to death; or (2) Presuming something yourself but leaving out the all important 'I':
By now, we all know that Taylor Swift isn’t your ordinary pop star. Despite unbelievable accomplishments, she has maintained an image as a complete innocent – a girl who tells it like it is and is genuinely surprised by her success.
Rihanna: has accomplished more at the tender age of twenty three than most musicians ever will in their career. She is certainly a rare talent, and her penchant for releasing albums faster than anyone else in the business has given us the pleasure of following her life like a storybook.
Kelly: It seems like Kelly Clarkson has followed a bad-good-bad pattern throughout her career: Thankful (bad), Breakaway (good), My December (bad), All I Ever Wanted (good)…and now, Stronger. It doesn’t take a coding analyst to figure out what the next output in the sequence would be, but just to humor ourselves let’s take a closer look at why this is the case.
it's not even a bad habit. it's just probably the reason some of your reviews annoy dissenting readers more than, say, Rudolph's

addendums:
(1) "idk if i'd go THAT far..." follows Aso's comment, which is when I started writing this
(2) i don't expect sowing to respond but I know he'll read it and gyro will respond in his stead.

I always expect backlash with an album like this, but Swift is one of a small handful of hated pop artists that I actually enjoy (and, in turn, frequently give positive reviews to) and I guess I wasn't expecting people to attack what I feel is a reasonable review. Besides, I gave her studeio album a 4.5 last year and about half as many people bitched. I dunno though it is no big deal just gets under my skin when people are like, "I hate Taylor Swift, and this is a positive review for one of her albums, so it must be biased."
Acad, I have to go to work but I'll read your massive comment later I'm sure it's helpful (no sarcasm intended)

It's mainly because we all know you fap over her every night, so it's really just the community just
not wanting your cum all over the front page.
That's the gist anyway.
