I respect your opinion. I can definitely see why you say that. His vocals are definitely hard to digest for some people.

Yeah the concept is pretty awesome. The album is a chore to listen to sometimes though.

This album kinda grew off me, but it's still great. The concept is well done, A Promise of Fever, Better To Reign in Hell, Serpent Tongue and Babalon A.D. (So Glad For The Madness) still kick ass.

Listened to this album again, it's even better than I remember. Got this up to a 4, I got the feelin' that if I keep listenin' to it I'll have the need to review it. Great album this is.

Thank God For The Suffering is the best song in here, mainly because it is the last song they ever did that had that old atmosphere they use to give to all their songs
|

I completely agree, Midian was the last great CoF album, and Damnation was the last one that contained any trace of their old atmosphere. Too bad. I wonder what happened.

I haven't listened to this in ages, mostly because it's my least favorite Cradle album and it's so damn long. Gonna give it a listen later on tonight though just because I kind of want to. This album does have Better to Reign in Hell though, which is one of my all time favorite Cradle songs.

Listening to this right now and I really seem to be liking this a lot more than I used to. I still used to love it, but it just seems better now for some reason.

I might bump this back up to a 4. I really like everything on this, it just drags on a little too long. I'm also gonna review this within the next few days probably.

I do not like "Nymphetamine" but i like this. It is far better and more authentic. This is an album which grows and becomes more interesting with each listen.

I'd have to say that Better Reign in Hell should be recommended, but that's my opinion.

I think this was one of the first parental advisory CD's I bought on my own haha. 10 years later it's still kicking ass.

Pos'd. That record always was one of my favourite CoF records. It has some flaws, but the sound of it
brilliantly fits the theme, it really is "demonic", I always imagine the world enveloped in flames.
And the brutal sections interract excellently with the melodic ones.
