I wish I liked the new album more than I do. All of the songs are too samey and I don't particularly like the way Ben sings on almost all of the verses. The choruses are solid but the album is way too safe as a whole. I'm sure it'll grow on me but it's missing the interesting song structures, harmonies, and backing vocals that make WTDWYAD so special.

How Far Apart and Tomorrow Faded Away are the two standout tracks but sadly I can't ever see myself loving the album.

Yeah really having a hard time getting into the new one. First spin through and I thought it was super boring outside of a few tracks. Definitely will give it another shot but not a good first impression.

Very safe and samey. Singles were the best tracks

idk about that, but they're all really good. i've found myself humming the hook to a random different song from the album over the last few days. some days its in this nightmare together, sometimes its a teardrop on the surface of the sun, sometimes its tomorrow faded away, sometimes it's spinning through time, and sometimes it's the singles.

I'm in a car underwater with time to kill

Thinking back I forgot to tell you this:

I didn't care that you left and abandoned me,

What hurts more is I would still die for you

.....this is really unrelated here but I am trying to think of this album I think they were related maybe to Minus the Bear actually but it felt more like a Death Cab spin off. I have to look towards more Minus the Bear. (It's not Postal Service).

But so after 30 years though, that's it. Thanks bellovddd.

I found it!!!! It was 'Sharks Keep Moving.' Gonna check out the Sput entry.
