i always thought these guys sounded like awkward puppylove between U2 and blink-182. though the first album was actually kind of enjoyable.

I really like this. It's definitely the easiest AVA album to get into.

I still think Love Part 1 was their best work but this isn't too far behind

Neighborhoods has turned me into such a Tom fan, it's only a matter of time before i check this out

Check out the first Love if you have time, it's better than this
Their best overall, I'd say

^Definitely, it's also the most guitar driven album they've made

Review made me go listen to Inertia, but it just sounded like two or three songs disjointedly jumbled together to me.

I got Surrender because it was the single of the week on iTunes last week. It's super repetitive and generic sounding.
|

My roommate has played Surrender about 20,000 times over the past week. I hope this band dies in a fire.

I wish they would stop.

oh god that album art. does this in any way sound different than the new blink?

Surprised there are no 1's yet.

Not a fantastic album for sure, but it definitively isn't a bad one either. Loads of vocal and instrumental recycling, but still some new tunes I didn't expect when I put it on. I'm both impressed and unimpressed.

Solid review. Moon As My Witness is indeed a change of pace vocal wise.

Whoever wrote this review must have a bad taste in music. 'Whisper' WAS the best album I've ever heard, and I-Empire didn't fall far behind. LOVE, although not as great as it's predecessors, was unique and quite creative.
When I listened "Anxiety", I was worried. The intro and verses weren't terrible, but the chorus' were boring and sounded like some sort of knock off of blink's "Up All Night". There are some rare "goose-bump" moments in the album, but for the most part, it is rather dull and repetitive of words, lines and melodies from the previous record. I don't know EXACTLY what AVA needs, but I think I know why Atom quit and I think that they need to move in a new direction. Not completely change; Angels & Airwaves is a truly great band... But they need something new. Something that brings the same grandeur as their debut.
