Death magnetic is like one more draft cut away from being a good album. Chopping every song down by about 2-3 minutes would be a good start.

This isn't upper Metallica in the slightest but I honestly can't hate it like other people do. Metallica sound fucking awful and lazy on this but Lou is doing a decent enough job and I can strangely appreciate the "fuck you we're old dogs and we can do whatever we fuck we want and still have our recognition" kind of mentality that most likely went into making this.



Still doesn't make it a good album by any stretch of the imagination but I still find it difficult to justify 1.0 or 1.5ing it.
