You know a lot about Lou Reed, but you don't have any of his albums ranked among your 881 ratings?
Ugh, I hate when people use this argument. I could give you a comprehensive list of things I've heard but haven't gotten around to or forgot to rate.
Someone neg'd so here have a pos.
Uh, thanks? I don't like pity votes, if that's what you're doing. Also, there are a lot of troll negs for Scott's review too. One of those things I've learned to accept about this site.

Can't believe people are actually defending this

I slash hard, man. Maybe you hate it because I have a point. Before I take you seriously you will have to rate Lou Reed, or at least give in your review how this compares to his past works. The fact Metallica is in this I don't give a shit about. Metallica hasn't been relevant in 20 years. I don't expect a thing from them but to continue on their path of money-grubbing, shitting on their fanbase, and mediocrity, which is probably all this album is for them, but I won't disrespect Lou without even knowing anything about him.
I don't know what you know about Lou, so I won't say you are wrong. For all I know you could be a Lou expert and completely right that this is an absolutely awful CD, but that isn't conveyed in your review to me.

I'm not defending this. This sucks to me. I'm wanting a better review of this. So far we have a 5 review, and two 1 reviews. This is bullshit.
|
| |
That's because it deserves a 1..... lol??

Album Rating: 1.0
You know a lot about Lou Reed, but you don't have any of his albums ranked among your 881 ratings?
ugh
|
| |
Seeing as this album is based off of plays by a german, Frank Wedekind, shouldn't that be mentioned? Have you read the plays?
|
| |
It's pretty much irrelevant in assessing the music.
|
| |
You must not have actually read the review.
|
| |
Sounds to me like your gripe isn't with the review but rather the review's rating itself.
Before I take you seriously you will have to rate Lou Reed, or at least give in your review how this compares to his past works.
Okay, first of all I gave brief historical context on Lou Reed, and secondly my ratings of his other albums has literally nothing to do with this, all that would display is that Reed works much better on his own than he does well operating with Metallica.
Also, this:
Metallica hasn't been relevant in 20 years.
is hilariously inaccurate.
|
| |
reed's previous work doesn't matter
he's not rating the album based on reed's previous work
this fucking sucks
get over it
stop being a dumb piece of shit
|
| |
Think for yourself. Read a fucking book. Open your mind.
What the hell are you talking about?
|
| |
^I always get Uhhkris and John Hipster Hanson mixed up
|
| |
how is that even possible
|
| |
I dunno man but it was like last week I noticed.
|
| |
Hey I'm in the review!
|
| |
My gripe is the way this album has been received.
UhhKris, how could reed's previous work not matter? If that is true, then why the fuck should Metallica's previous work matter, bonehead?
That's great that you think this sucks, you are just another ignorant fucking human with another asshole of an opinion. You don't mean shit, and Metallica has shown you that the past 20 years. Get over it.
This album has, at the least, made me want to check out these plays. Maybe this album sucks, and maybe they delivered it poorly, but there must be something compelling about these plays to make an album out of it.

Hey I'm in the review!
Haha, yep! Now do yourself a favor and don't listen to this. I mean, it's kind of funny, but mostly
really offensive.
|

HEY MAN! TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE!
|
| |
Fair warning, Valerius, you've been reported.
