so romantic; one of the rare records that makes you nostalgic for a place you've never been.

^same. Makes me dream of the 80's yet I was born in 91. Never got to experience it
Also, "Splendor" is becoming one of my favorites on this one. The verses almost sound like Jesse Lacey (major plus) and the
choruses sound like a Zelda-Final Fantasy score.

reunion is perfect, as is intro, outro, wait, claudia lewis, and steve mcqueen

This is just overflowing with fantastic ideas. And honestly, it never even falls short which is quite an achievement for a double album with a 70 minute runtime

That's the truth. This is possibly my favorite double album of all-time. Only competition is Radiohead's In Rainbows. And that
says a lot. Both are absolutely stellar.
Album is a fantastic drug trip from Intro to Outro
Not to mention even "I Need You" is like Midnight City after chilling out a minute. I can't wait to see what comes next. I hope
it's not some commercial pop tho : /

Album is fantastic to trip on drugs to from Intro to Outro ;]
Ive never considered In Rainbows to be an official double album though; isn't the second disc just a compilation of b-sides? My vinyl only has the first disc. Regardless, it's a great great record.

Any word on a new album? Will be a massive task to top this, but in Gonzalez we trust.

Yes but it's a continuation of OK computer. First track of OK leads into the first track of In Rainbows and then second track of OK leads to second track of In Rainbows and so forth. It zigzags. A perfect decade later release.

I wish I knew personally. I hope it's a Dead Cities meets Hurry Up. That would be so epic. I kinda miss the post-rock/shoegaze. But whatever's in his mind is probably genius as long as he doesn't let a major hit get to his ego.
|
| |
I miss Dead Cities as well
as much as I enjoy this and how perfect it is I do hope he sways a little back towards that sound instead of gong all-out-pop-big-stuff like his trajectory would indicate

^Dead Cities is fabulous

The binary sequence thing? I think that's a bit of a stretch honestly; i jammed it once and it was cool but it seems more like fanboys trying to create a narrative that doesn't exist than a conscious effort by Radiohead. Still, more power to you if you jam it that way!
Dude that would be perfect: stadium sized synth pop with massive wall of sound climaxes. Could be a 5 if he went down that road, although I would really doubt he will.

Ehh could be true. I'm one who tends to overanalyze albums. I'm the one who also says that The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me should start at track 7 and end at track 6. Would make perfect symbolism and also tell the story in order. But that's just me.

Next album: Hurry Up, We're Dead! Lol
That would've been the perfect time to use the snow angel cover.

Heh
Fair call bud. Agreed that TDAG would work better like that, but personally I'd start with You Won't Know seeing as Limousine would make for one of the most titanic closers ever.
|

note that blew my mind a little bit ago: you guys know the snow angel cover is a photograph, right?

^yes but you miss out on him contemplating suicide for what he did in Limousine. Plus 7 is God's number and 6 is the devil's
