Like, if you just participate in the music listening, or like football, and black comedians/actors, but you don't like the people that it came from, it does invalidate your enjoyment of something to me. Like I used to hang out with a lot of Latin people for years, but it wasn't just a party, I loved them and their culture and I let myself be changed and molded by it all.



And I'm not calling all rap imagery and PR responsible at all. But you know a lot of people in that world thought and still think mob shit and old time gangster imagery is cool. It's not like there were lots of black or hood concious movies were happening when Godfather or even Scarface came out. Who else would the people on the street have to look up to?
