This album is like, Images and Words with terrible production, and a different singer.

Overrated band, the only track I liked was Only a matter of time.

The YTSE Jam is really the only reason to check out this album. And I say that as a diehard DT fan.

Must say i strongly disagree with you. Status Seeker, Light Fuse And Get Away, Afterlife and Only A Matter Of Time kick a**. Even Charlie's vocals grow on you after repeated listens.

But still, i respect your opinion, to each his own.

It's funny how members who liked this only seem to listen to Opeth. While LaBrie's singing is really pretty bad, certainly compared to the skill of the rest of the band, it's a big step up from this. The whole album is pretty poor to me, although I'm not a big fan of the band.

You are aware James didn't sing in this album, i hope. Oh and before you judge him i hope you have listened to Images And Words, and Awake.

^ Couldnt agree more

This album is stupidly underrated.. Only a matter of time, Ytse Jam, and The Killing Hand is among DT's best material.

this is the only dream theater album where i like the WHOLE band. labrie is a whiny cunt live and just decent on cds. dominici could back during the time this was recorded. one of my fav. prog. metal albums when i first got into prog. and i still love it.

I actuallyt like Dominichi's voice, not as much as LaBrie but its not too bad. btw I saw DT in 07, Labrie can hit the F Shrap in Learning to Live now. I had chills when I heard it.

> I really wish that bassist John Myung stood out more as he can obviously play, but the truth is he doesnt stand out at all on the album. Its sad as a bassist myself that thats all I have to say about John.

i love to know what im talking about
