I like Down a lot. I don't think it sounds like Unwinding Cable Car at all tbh.

And Dark is the Way is only meh if you compare it song by song with this album, otherwise it's great.

I've tried to get a few of my friends into this album before. Every single one of them has said: Awww, I love Inevitable! (all of them were girls). I mean, Inevitable's probably my second or third favorite song off of this, but it always drives me crazy when people don't get the rest of it a chance

I agree completely Lakes. Art of War is probably my favorite song on all of Dark is the Way. It at least is my favorite one musically. The only thing I found disappointing about that album was Depraved, and even it was amazing. I still think it's the worst closer they have, not counting Naieve Orleans.

Yeah, I agree about the gongs and guitars at the end. I think that the reason I didn't think it stacked up against the other closers was because Dark is the Way really showed the band experimenting while Depraved, besides the gongs and guitars at the end, didn't really experiment much at all

Yeah, like if they had expanded on the beginning of Art of War and made the closer that, it could've beat out Fin musically. Not lyrically, since I don't think any Anberlin song will ever be lyrically better than Fin

But man, that choir. 'Angel Saint, are we all lost like you?' Hauntingly beautiful

Oh crap, I have no idea why I put Angel Saint instead of Patron Saint. Wow.

But yeah, Ironically enough, if it weren't for Skillet's most recent album, I never would have discovered Anberlin.

I think it was two years ago in 7th grade, I heard Monster on the radio and loved it (my musical tastes hadn't evolved yet). I went out and bought Awake by Skillet, and thought it was great because it was ' hardrock' and Christian at the same time. So, I started looking for more Christian bands and started listening to Kutless, Seventh Day Slumber, Red (I still enjoy Red), and Anberlin. Then, my musical tastes started evolving around Anberlin. So thanks to Skillet, I now listen to the music I listen to =P

They were 30 minutes away from me about two weeks ago. Both my parents were working. I'd never wished I could drive more in my entire life

I am ashamed to say I never checked these guys out until arriving to this site. I was familiar with Unwinding Cable Car and Feel Good Drag though.

"Timothy stole as long as he could"

Yesterday's concert while awesome could not have gone any worse. It turned out Switchfoot was headlining (they were good but Anberlin was better live) so there was no (*fin) encore. After they finished with The Feel Good Drag I even yelled "PLAY FIN" and the entire crowd starting chanting "one more song" but they refused

On top of that I had pretty much the worst back pain in my life during Switchfoot's set, and I got a fever (which is why I'm not at school).

Concert still ruled but dang that could not have gone any worse.

This was at SF, I assume? Stephen kept saying how much better we were than San Francisco. haha
