it doesn't have the king of synth you're thinking of, it's not that shitty attack attack! kind of synth. it has xylophones and bells and shit like that. just give the opening track a chance and see it you like it:

It uses synth to explore soundscapes. Not arpeggiators over shitty 4/4 breakdowns.

Speaking of breakdowns, I think that was one of the major (and few) flaws "Monolith" presented.
What I meant by odd sounding production was, not that it wasn't good, rather, it sounds peculiar. I think it's just the layering and alternating levels. There was just moments when you couldn't hear instrument X over instrument Y, then all of a sudden, all you can hear is instrument X and Z, and Y is gone, and sporadically, Y comes back.

that didn't make any fucking sense.
i hear everything perfectly
no complaints on production over here. i think the production is amazing for an unsigned bands' first ep

Yeah man, I kinda got that too. But remember this is pretty much all home produced if I'm correct. Good news though, Sumerian Records has their eye on these guys. More Sumeriancore for me!

Oh, don't get me wrong at all. I really enjoy the production. It has an almost hollow like atmosphere,
which accompanied by the synth, gives it the spacious feel it seems to urge for. It's really good,
especially for home-recording. The aforementioned issues aren't a constantly occurring thing, but it's
a bit peculiar when it does.
I would love to see these guys signed to Sumerian. Along with Akeldama, perhaps. Haha.
"that didn't make any fucking sense."
how so? The volume levels are sometimes sporadic. How doesn't that make any sense? :s

Sumerian should definitely pick these guys up.

this band would be perfect for Sumerian's "future of metal" roster.

They sound like they fit right in with Sumerian.

what bands on that label are worth listening to besides the faceless and structures?
|
| |
Structures is my favorite on Sumerian,
Circle Of Contempt is a close second.

The Fransesco Artusato Project, The HAARP Machine, Evan Brewer & Enfold Darkness are all rather talented acts they have signed.

There is a lot of buzz around this EP right now. I think it has some cool ideas brewing but overall, it is pretty unoriginal.

really? i think it's very original. i've never ever heard someone else use xylophones in deathcore, have you?
