idk what it is, but as much as i love king and other heavy metal absolutely none of the revival stuff does it for me.
and it's not that it's revival per se, i like a lot of throwback music. these newer bands are just missing something. the only "modern" one i can think of is slough feg, but they're almost not even really a throwback.
regardless this album rules.

That's because most revival bands try to emulate the past, and nothing else - no artistic value. But when it's done with soul, and some talent, it's still fun.
