this guy is wrong and right at the same time. those elements you listed ARE trademarks of black metal, black metal surely has a certain sound and its pretty easily understood too.
But there's a difference between black metal the ideology and black metal the sound. honestly black metal the ideology died way back when the last of the good second wave bands died out, but the musical influence still lives on in tons of acts.

btw, should mention that black metal is much more of an idealogy than a sound. if the music is not about dark "evil" subject matter, then it is not black metal.
