Folklore is a fantastic song. You take one shitty lyric and say it's an embarrassing song? Seriously do you listen to music or just the words?
Not gonna neg the review because it is well written even though I don't see you describing through words any of the things you claim.
Saying something is boring doesn't make it true.

Agreed. "Folklore" is one of the few songs where I felt the pieces actually flowed together and "progressed" somewhat naturally rather than the many overly jarring and disjointed sections found elsewhere on the album.

I've never really liked Opeth in the past and I couldn't really understand why. Now I know. They should've been a 70s prog rock band from the start. I really enjoyed this. I'm glad they threw away all the metal, they never really fit that bill for me. And coming from a guy who's a metal fanatic.
Haters gonna hate. :P

On first listen, I dig this quite a bit. A shit ton better than Watershed in my opinion. I think it is great that they dropped the death metal elements and just went for a rock record. This is what they should do from now on. As a fan of 70s prog and Opeth, I think both elements were mixed in nicely.
