Yeah one part from On the Backs of Angels sounds identical to the pre-chorus of Pull Me Under

Compare the structures of both songs.

The only reason you know that Omair is because there was such a big to do about it upon its release. Everybody knows that, however the album sounds nothing like Images And Words.

Repeating song structures are committed by every band all the time.

Repeating the same song structure with different melodies is interesting, but not for 6 of 9 songs though, that's a tad much. Actually I figured a couple myself, hooray for me. Breaking all Illusions was kind of obvious.

You'd think basing so many songs off of IaW would result in a great album, but On the Backs of Angels has such a weak chorus compared to Pull Me Under.

..... You got me. Aside from the copying it's a very tired and monotonous style that th eband has adopted and is comfortable with.

doesn't matter dude......dont knock the album because of similar song structures.......knock it because you just dont like the songs.

Yeah that's the main issue. Thought the song structure issue shows how much they restricted

themselves, and that is also an issue, how very prog of them.
